Week of 3/22 Highlights:
March has already been full of bangers and bona fide hits, but this, the first week of spring, triples down on it and gets everyone ready for sunshine and good vibes. Full of great new staple dance tracks, standout alternative and new emerging pop acts that will make you stop and go “WHO IS THIS?” you’ll be throwing this week’s top tracks on repeat and into all of your favorite playlists.
- Why Don’t We are blowing up, and their new single featuring Macklemore is only going to stoke that fire more.
- Destiny Rogers is a new pop name that you’re going to be hearing a lot more of in the next few months. Her debut EP “Tomboy” is a breakout album with singles like “North$ide” that’ll make you double-take the fact that she’s a swaggy white girl with major pipes and a great sense for songwriting. Skrrt Skrrt, Skrrt!
- Kailee Morgue breaks out of the dark corners of her bedroom and into mainstream spotlights with her new hit song, featuring Hayley Kiyoko, “Headcase.” The empowering queer pop power anthem features a sample of The Pixies’ “Where Is My Mind?” and speaks to her struggles with bipolar disorder.
- Who the hell are the three-girl rock trio of Caveboy, and where did this alternative pop-rock jam come from? Check out “Landslide” ASAP.
- Ivy Adara penned another Maggie Lindemann anthem, “Friends Go.”
- Fresh off a new tour announcement and a Lollapalooza confirmation, Fitz And The Tantrums are back with the brand new feel-good “123456,” their first new music since 2017. Do you feel the vibe yet?
- A three year hiatus from new music out of the UK’s Two Door Cinema Club is over – they’ve got a brand new disco-inspired single, “Talk” that will immediately get you moving and shaking.
- Indie rock/pop outfit Surfaces are back with a new single despite having released an album already in 2019. Check out the effortlessly vibey “Palm Trees” – even the name inspires chill vibes.
- You probably won’t recognize Theresa Rex’s name, but you should definitely remember Martin Jensen’s smash hit “Solo Dance.” At the time, Rex didn’t want her vocals credited, to stay anonymous, but as of 2018 she’s embarked on a proper solo pop career, and is garnering the attention she deserves. Jonas Blue certainly noticed, and has her providing the vocals on his latest single, “What I Like About You.“
- Dynoro, the international sensation behind the breakout hit cover of “In My Mind,” is reintroduced to the world with his first original single, “Obsessed” featuring Ina Wroldsen. We’re already obsessing over this new banger.
- Steve Aoki teams up with massive KPop group MONSTA X for a new dance smash hit that’ll run around your head all day, in “Play It Cool.”
- When Patrick Carney of The Black Keys wants to personally produce your debut EP, you know you’ve got special talent. That’s the case for Jessy Wilson, who’s second single “Clap Your Hands” came out today. You’ll definitely feel the dirty rock vibes on this one.
